Acquired wheat, corn, cotton and grain-sorghum fields with documented applications can be useful review candidates. OSU soil-test indices and actual management history guide the next evidence steps.

FARMING IN OKLAHOMA

Local crops.
A property-specific opportunity.

Hay and forage, wheat, soybeans, cotton, sorghum and cattle operations.

FEATURED CROP PROFILE

Wheat and managed crop ground

Acquired wheat, corn, cotton and grain-sorghum fields with documented applications can be useful review candidates. OSU soil-test indices and actual management history guide the next evidence steps.

CALCULATOR COVERAGE

Start with the modeled crop.

Winter wheat / small grains; Corn grain / silage; Cotton; Grain sorghum.

The calculator uses the same preliminary engine as our software. Other crops can be submitted for a manual property review. A crop label does not establish qualification or recoverable value.

Crop context comes from USDA NASS. Review priorities are Ash & Acre screening judgments; the universities and USDA do not endorse this service.

OKLAHOMA READINESS

Open for screening.
Evidence controls the outcome.

Start with an illustrative nutrient-value screen, then develop the field evidence needed to evaluate an attributable residual amount above crop requirements.

READINESSIntake & preliminary estimate available

Listed calculator crops are available now. Other crops need individual agronomic review.

INITIAL FIT CHECKTarget: 2–5 business days

After core property facts arrive. Sampling, laboratory work, agronomy and tax review determine the full case schedule.

STRONGER FITAcquired productive acres with records

Field history, prior applications, acquisition documents and parcel soil evidence support the investigation.

OKLAHOMA OPPORTUNITY PROFILES

Where we would
start the review.

These are reasons to investigate a property. Final qualification and value depend on its evidence.

01

Wheat acquisitions

Record grain-only versus dual-purpose grazing, fertilizer applications and soil-test results.

02

Cotton and sorghum

Use crop-specific yield and nutrient history rather than applying one statewide assumption.

03

Hay and improved pasture

Document fertilizer use and removed forage; these systems require manual crop review.

04

Ranches and grazing land

Generic cattle or horse use and native range have no automatic residual nutrient estimate.

EVIDENCE TO GATHER

Build the file
around the land.

Deed and purchase records, field boundaries, acquisition date, prior crop and fertilizer history, manure and irrigation records, soil tests and actual harvest/removal information.

OKLAHOMA WATCHOUT

Native range and grazing rights do not establish acquired fertilizer value. Separate owned acreage, managed fertilized fields and non-owned grazing acreage.

Our agronomist evaluates the attributable residual supply. Our consulting CPA and your CPA determine any supported allocation, recovery method and filing amount.

FROM POTENTIAL TO SUPPORT

What the estimate can tell you.

The calculator illustrates potential nutrient value using limited property facts and explicit crop scenarios. It does not measure your soil or automatically subtract a verified crop baseline. Professional review establishes crop requirements, natural supply, prior-owner attribution and what was present at acquisition.

Crop uptake and nutrient losses can reduce remaining supply over time. The screening engine uses provisional carryover assumptions; parcel evidence determines the actual depletion pattern. Your CPA determines whether and how any supported amount is recoverable. The recoverable portion may be lower or zero.
