PRELIMINARY SCREENING OPEN

Colorado
fertility asset recovery.

Start with acquired corn ground that has application history, water records and representative soil tests. Residual nitrate, organic matter, manure and irrigation-water credits matter.

FARMING IN COLORADO

Local crops.
A property-specific opportunity.

Wheat, hay and forage, corn, cattle operations and irrigated specialty crops.

FEATURED CROP PROFILE

Irrigated corn fields

Start with acquired corn ground that has application history, water records and representative soil tests. Residual nitrate, organic matter, manure and irrigation-water credits matter.

CALCULATOR COVERAGE

Start with the modeled crop.

Corn grain / silage.

The calculator uses the same preliminary engine as our software. Other crops can be submitted for a manual property review. A crop label does not establish qualification or recoverable value.

Crop context comes from USDA NASS. Review priorities are Ash & Acre screening judgments; the universities and USDA do not endorse this service.

COLORADO READINESS

Open for screening.
Evidence controls the outcome.

Start with an illustrative nutrient-value screen, then develop the field evidence needed to evaluate an attributable residual amount above crop requirements.

READINESSIntake & preliminary estimate available

Listed calculator crops are available now. Other crops need individual agronomic review.

INITIAL FIT CHECKTarget: 2–5 business days

After core property facts arrive. Sampling, laboratory work, agronomy and tax review determine the full case schedule.

STRONGER FITAcquired productive acres with records

Field history, prior applications, acquisition documents and parcel soil evidence support the investigation.

COLORADO OPPORTUNITY PROFILES

Where we would
start the review.

These are reasons to investigate a property. Final qualification and value depend on its evidence.

01

Corn acquisitions

Document grain versus silage, manure applications and irrigation-water contributions.

02

Wheat and dryland ground

Yield goals, moisture constraints and residual soil nutrients call for manual parcel review.

03

Hay and alfalfa

Retain harvest and application records; legume contributions are separate from purchased fertilizer.

04

Potatoes and vegetables

A field-specific nutrient plan and crop history support specialty-crop review beyond this calculator scope.

EVIDENCE TO GATHER

Build the file
around the land.

Deed and purchase records, field boundaries, acquisition date, prior crop and fertilizer history, manure and irrigation records, soil tests and actual harvest/removal information.

COLORADO WATCHOUT

Colorado soils often supply potassium naturally. The calculator assigns no generic potassium value; actual fertilizer attribution requires field evidence.

Our agronomist evaluates the attributable residual supply. Our consulting CPA and your CPA determine any supported allocation, recovery method and filing amount.

FROM POTENTIAL TO SUPPORT

What the estimate can tell you.

The calculator illustrates potential nutrient value using limited property facts and explicit crop scenarios. It does not measure your soil or automatically subtract a verified crop baseline. Professional review establishes crop requirements, natural supply, prior-owner attribution and what was present at acquisition.

Crop uptake and nutrient losses can reduce remaining supply over time. The screening engine uses provisional carryover assumptions; parcel evidence determines the actual depletion pattern. Your CPA determines whether and how any supported amount is recoverable. The recoverable portion may be lower or zero.
